Flagstaff Family Dentist

Dr. Paul D. Whitney opened his dental practice in April of 1987 in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is originally from Concord, Massachusetts. He received his B.S. in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts in 1979 and his D.D.S. from Georgetown University in Washington, DC in 1983.

To provide comprehensive dental care, he works closely with other dentists and dental specialists in Flagstaff and northern Arizona. He also stays current with dental trends and techniques through continuing education. He has had the same office location in the Continental Plaza for over 21 years.

Dr. Whitney enjoys writing the "Word of Mouth" column appearing every other week in the "A" section of the Arizona Daily Sun. The articles feature a variety of topics on good oral-health practices and will address all aspects of dental care.

Each year Paul volunteers for the "Give Kids a Smile Day" providing free dental care to children who are in need from around the Flagstaff area. For fun, he is an active chili cook through his membership in the International Chili Society and also supports Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Flagstaff as Chairman of the Route 66 Chili Cookoff, and ICS worlds championship qualifying event held each June in Thorpe Park. He also is an avid golfer.

Dr. Whitney and his wife Sarah are the proud parents of two preschool children. Sarah is originally from Missouri and a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia.

Julie is a dynamic and courteous professional. She grew up in Flagstaff and is a 1987 graduate of Coconino High School. She has been in the dental field since 1991. For over ten years Julie has been affiliated with this practice in various capacities. She is dedicated to making your visit a great experience by scheduling convenient appointments, explaining payment and financing options, and helping you with questions and concerns. She is an expert in dental insurance and manages all aspects of billing for our office.

Flagstaff Dental Hygienist

Linda has over thirty years of experience as a Dental Hygienist. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene at Phoenix College and a BA in Music from the University of Arizona. She has been a part of our dental practice since 2000.

Linda Wilkison has over thirty years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.

Linda is very skilled and thorough in her dental cleaning, root plannings, and perio maintenance procedures. It is very important to her that each patient receives gentle care and a positive hygiene visit, with an emphasis on education so that patients know why we emphasize home care. If it's time for your teeth cleaning, Linda is ready to make sure you get the very best of care.

She is also an avid photographer, scuba diver and snorkeler, and sings in the Master Chorale of Flagstaff.

Expanded Function Certified Dental Assistant

Kym received her certifications in California and Arizona in the 1980's. She has local hospital privileges and has worked in specialty dental fields. She is certified as a Medical Assistant and as a Nurse's Assistant. Personal care and understanding of our patients is of the utmost importance to Kym. She thoroughly enjoys her vocation and always looks forward to working with you. She also loves being with her family, traveling, motorcycle runs, and being by the beach, any beach!
